Mailbox Lock Replacement
A mailbox that will not open or has lost its key is a small problem with an important rule: who owns the mailbox decides who can fix it.
USPS-owned boxes
Cluster box units, the large grouped boxes used in many neighborhoods, are typically owned by the Postal Service, and the locks and keys belong to the Postal Service. If your lock is on one of those, your local post office handles the replacement.
Private and community mailboxes
Standalone residential mailboxes, many amenity-center mailboxes and some HOA-owned boxes are privately owned. These we can open, repair, rekey or replace, and we can cut keys for them.
Properties with many boxes, such as retirement communities and rental properties, can be rekeyed so every box has its own key.
